If you are citing a paper whose authors have a two word last name (e.g. "Van Emmerick") you want to have both words displayed in your web and exported view. In most cases, this is already handled in the metadata by our bibliographic sources. But if you don't see a citation as "Van Emmerick, 2017" then do the following.

Upon adding a citation, edit it (before adding it) so that the author line goes from:
author = {Tim Van Emmerik and Susan C. Steele-Dunne and Jasmeet Judge and Nick Van De Giesen},
to:
author = {Tim {Van Emmerik} and Susan C. Steele-Dunne and Jasmeet Judge and Nick Van De Giesen},

The two word last name is included inside curly braces. After doing that, the citation should then work fine.
