How do I delete a citation or a reference?
In order to remove a citation from one of your documents, simply position your cursor after the citation and press backspace/delete. The reference linked to the citation will also be removed from the bibliography at the end of the document. (See Gif below)
Note 1. Still cannot remove a reference from the bibliography? It is possible that you (or a collaborator) has selected the Show all references checkbox under Document Settings (under the cogs menu ⚙️ in the toolbar)
Note 2. Please remember that Authorea works best in Chrome and Firefox. If you are having problems deleting content in Safari, consider switching to one of these two browsers.
