A digital object identifier (DOI) is automatically generated by Authorea when you publish content. Upon generation of the DOI, article metadata is deposited and registered with Crossref. This process takes a few minutes but in certain cases it can take longer, up to a few hours.
So, if your document displays a box saying DOI registration pending approval please be patient and check back with your article later when it will display DOI and citation information.
