How do I embed a Plotly or Carto graph?
Authorea allows researchers to embed interactive graphs from Plotly or Carto (or any other plotting tool that allows you to save an iframe).
This is how, for example, you import a Plotly graph:
Get the embed code for your graph from Plotly (click Share, Embed, and copy the iframe). Detailed instructions here.
Copy and paste the iframe contents into an HTML file. For example, you call it "plotly-graph.html".
Go to your Authorea article and click Insert -> Interactive Figure, and then select the HTML file.
You can include more complex interactive figures (that include all HTML and JS) by following these instructions
